Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office? Do you work online?

My office is at:
105 Anvil Court
Georgetown, TX 78633

I see clients from all over Texas, so most of my practice is online.

Do you take insurance?
My practice is a fee-for-service practice, and I do not take any insurance; however I will provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to insurance for reimbursement.
What is a free initial phone consultation?

A free consultation is as much for you as for me. During this 20-minute free session, we will determine if your needs and my skills are compatible and if we are a good fit personally. Often we are, but I will make a referral when I may feel that your needs could be best served through another modality or professional.

What is your cancellation policy?
My cancellation policy requires 24 hours’ notice to cancel. You may cancel by phone, email, or text.
Are my sessions confidential? Can you discuss my problems with anyone?

Our code of ethics ensures that privacy and confidentiality are paramount to creating a trusting working relationship with your therapist. I can only discuss your case if YOU give me written permission. Otherwise, I am legally bound not to share anything that may jeopardize your privacy.

How long does therapy take to feel better?

That is such a good question! There is no concrete answer because every person is different.

Some types of therapy (family therapy, for example) are generally short term – meaning a few months, while couples and individual therapy take longer.

I aim to help you determine your goals and formulate a treatment plan for your needs. We will work together to determine how many sessions we expect, knowing that you drive that decision with my professional input.
